Petrochemical Business Explorer-Marketing and Sales

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY

  • Establish new markets and customers for compounded engineering plastics for non-commodity applications (targeting automotive and electronics customers) in Indonesia and Thailand.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to gain insights into market competition and trends.
  • Identify potential customers and explain technical functions and product specifications to clients.
  • Develop and propose strategic partnership models related to product development solutions.
  • Develop marketing strategies; identify potential suppliers; and execute purchasing and sales activities with suppliers and customers.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Polymer Science, Petroleum / Petrochemical Technology, other Engineering discipline or Economics

EXPERIENCE

  • A results-driven sales professional with a proven ability to close transactions effectively, with at least 2-3 years of experience.
  • High level of familiarity in advanced polymer business or related industries. Experience in polymer compounding/composite companies for engineering plastics is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of international trade, especially in Indonesia and other SEA countries.
  • Strong analytical skills in market analysis, with the ability to initiate new or improved approaches to ensure effective decision-making.
  • Excellent command of English; strong negotiation skills; logical thinking; service-minded attitude; and good interpersonal skills.
